🥁 Steps & patterns

• Click a step to cycle off → hit → accent.
• On a bass/synth row, shift-click or right-click a step to change its note (R · ♭3 · 4 · 5 · ♭7 · 8).
• Press Space to play/stop (when not typing in a text box).
• Swing delays every other 16th for a shuffled feel.
• RANDOMIZE builds a new pattern; UNDO (or Ctrl/Cmd+Z) brings the previous one back.
• Fill slots A, B, C… and Play chains them in order. Use 🧱 SONG BUILDER for a full arrangement.

🎹 Playing notes

• Click the 🎹 icon next to a track — computer keys (A–P) and your MIDI keyboard play that track.
• Click 🎹 MIDI (top bar or piano roll) once to connect a USB keyboard (Chrome / Edge / Firefox).
• ⛶ FULLSCREEN → PIANO ROLL for a full note grid. Arm ⏺ REC, hit Play, then play keys or MIDI to record.
• Z / X on the computer keyboard shift octave; hard MIDI hits (velocity ≥ 100) are accents.

🎛️ Mix, FX & synths

• Each track has VOL / TUNE / DRV / REV / DLY. Bass engines add cutoff, resonance, decay, octave, glide, and more.
• Use ＋ ADD SYNTH for extra 303 / 808 / Strings / Guitar / Piano / Brass / Organ (up to 3 of each).
• Drag the parametric EQ nodes to shape the master sound. Per-track EQ is on the EQ button.
• Master FX: reverb, delay, and drum/synth bus compressors sit under the track list.

💾 Saving

• Everything autosaves as you work (green dot next to Share Song).
• SAVE KIT stores a named snapshot; SAVE/LOAD SETTINGS makes a portable backup file.
• 🔗 SHARE SONG builds a link with patterns and settings (samples are not included in the link).
• RESET ALL — click twice to wipe back to factory defaults.

🎵 Uploading samples

Upload WAV, MP3, OGG and other audio onto any track by clicking its SYNTH button.

✅ Small samples (under ~3.5 MB)

• Saved automatically in your browser.
• Still there after refresh and in Song Builder.
• Ideal for drum hits, FX, vocal chops and short loops.

🎤 Large samples (over ~3.5 MB)

• Loaded for this session only — play fine now, gone after refresh.
• Upload again next time. No limit during a session (aside from your computer’s memory).
• Tip: trim long files before importing so more of them can save permanently.
