HOW TO USE
Patterns marked 2 bars (etc.) were extended in the piano roll — dropping one places a block already stretched to that length so you hear the full pattern; drums and other short tracks loop each bar. Drag the right edge of any placed block to stretch or shrink it across bars (same idea as the piano roll). Drag a pattern letter from the palette onto a track to place it. Drag a placed block to move it anywhere on the timeline — even to a different track. Click a placed block to remove it. Each cell is one loop through that pattern (16 steps). Stack patterns on different tracks at the same position to layer them — they'll play together, mixed, like a real DAW. Use + ADD TRACK to add a new lane, or + ADD GROUP to create a collapsible folder (e.g. “Drums”) — drag the ⠿ handle on a track onto a group header to nest it, or onto another track to reorder. Groups can be collapsed/expanded with the ▶/▼ button. Each track (and group) has a colour picker so lanes and blocks are easy to tell apart. On each track header: name the lane, S solo / M mute, delete, and drag the small EQ curve dots to shape that track (song-builder EQ overrides the main drum machine page EQ for playback here). This plays for real using the exact same engine as the drum machine page. Use the Song Library below to save named arrangements and switch between them. Save Arrangement (bottom bar) sets whichever arrangement is currently on the grid as the active one the drum machine page plays. The 🎯 follow button auto-scrolls to the playhead while playing — scroll manually to release it, click it again to re-engage. Right-click a placed block for copy/duplicate/mute/delete/split options — split mutes off a half or quarter of that block so only part of the pattern plays. On a stretched multi-bar block, split works across the whole span (e.g. ½ 1st on a 2-bar block keeps the first bar and mutes the second). ↶ UNDO (or Ctrl/Cmd+Z) steps back through changes. Right-click a block and choose COPY, then right-click any cell (empty or filled) and choose PASTE to drop it there — no keyboard needed. Left-click and drag along the ruler at the top to select a whole range of bars across every track — right-click inside the selection (or on the ruler) and choose COPY SELECTED RANGE, then right-click wherever you want it and choose PASTE SELECTED RANGE to drop the whole chunk in one go. Ctrl/Cmd+C and Ctrl/Cmd+V work too once something's selected. Click (without dragging) anywhere on the timeline to drop a green cue marker — press ▶ play and it starts from there, or drag it while a song is already playing to jump straight to that point, just like scrubbing in a DAW.

DROP TO CREATE A NEW TRACK
The sample loads onto a fresh track on the drum machine page — add FX & EQ there.
ADD A NOTE TO WHICH PATTERN?
The new track gets a starting beat there, and that pattern is dropped onto its lane at bar 1.
